George’s role in Retirement Line’s Annuity Guidance Team is the second chapter in his financial services career, building on a successful period in business finance. The move to helping consumers better understand their retirement income options felt like a natural one and it’s a role he has fully embraced over the past few years.

Importantly when working in the pensions arena, George is known among his colleagues as being especially well-organised and professional, bringing a no-fuss approach to his work.

This calming presence is also highly valued by his customers who, as George explains, are typically facing a very important decision: “Our customers are perhaps making one of the biggest decisions of their life. With hopefully a long and active retirement ahead of them, deciding how to turn their pension savings into income that will sustain them needs careful consideration. I take great pride in helping them understand their options – even if they decide that an annuity is not for them right now.”

Away from work, George loves spending quality time with his young family and indulges in his passion for the guitar whenever he can. He is also committed to self-development and is proud to have achieved the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning from the Chartered Insurance Institute.
