Retirement Line is contributing to the latest Parliamentary Review

Retirement Line will feature alongside a handful of other leading financial services sector companies in the 2018/19 Parliamentary Review. Following an invitation to participate, Chief Executive Officer David Slater has contributed an article exploring the state of UK retirement income provision.

David’s article draws on statistics and themes from the FCA’s Retirement Outcomes Review of June 2018. He also shares his belief that people facing a decision at decumulation need clear and comprehensive information about their options.

Providing this information is a cornerstone of the service offered by Retirement Line. It is also a priority for the FCA, who are committed to ensuring that the financial services industry improves performance in this area to help consumers avoid poor outcomes.    

Contributions from business and government  

The Parliamentary Review is a series of publications featuring articles from experts in businesses across all sectors of the UK. Alongside these submissions, the Review contains contributions from prominent political figures including Theresa May, Philip Hammond and several government ministers.

Total readership is upward of 500,000 policymakers, including MPs, Peers, CEOs, relevant clubs and associations, and senior figures from the media. Publication of the 2018/19 Review is scheduled for spring 2019.

As well as contributing to the Parliamentary Review, Retirement Line will also have the opportunity to attend a gala event at Westminster, meeting with senior politicians and representatives from other leading UK businesses.
