Mark Ormston joins board of Pensions Management Institute

The Pensions Management Institute (PMI) has appointed Mark Ormston, Chief Compliance Officer at Retirement Line, to its Board.

Mark Ormston

Mark, who is Retirement Line’s Chief Compliance Officer, has been a part of the Institute’s work for several years. His role with them has included membership of the Advisory Council.

The Institute cites his considerable pensions industry knowledge and experience in roles “across the pensions landscape” as background to this latest appointment.

Mark said: "I am delighted to join the PMI Board at such a pivotal period for our industry. At a time when people access information - accurate or otherwise - in a much more transactional way than ever before, the PMI’s role in driving education, knowledge and high professional standards is more vital than ever.

“I very much look forward to working with the Board to support our 10,000-plus members and foster long-standing, robust innovation across the sector."

Other appointments announced by the PMI include the reappointment of Girish Menezes as President for a further one-year term. Four new Non-Executive Directors will also join the Board of its learning and development subsidiary, Factito.

The Institute say that the appointments will strengthen leadership, governance and strategic oversight as it finalises its next four-year corporate plan.

In addition, they say that the appointments reinforce a commitment to “raising professional standards, developing future talent and ensuring the sector has the skills, expertise and leadership needed to meet evolving challenges and opportunities”.
